The news spread quickly in East City, wanted news board signs were posted on the towns letterboard, walls, and even lampposts. The wanted poster showed a sabre-toothed looking warrior which gave a grave warning to travellers and the one word that caused Callion who stumbled on the poster to glare immensely… Villagers. This wanted man was targeting innocent people and harmless villagers that have no means to defend themselves and were hopeless to stand against this monster. Such news caused the Saiyan to clench his right hand into a fist and ripped the wanted poster from the wall and walked out of the city returning to a lonesome road across the countryside. Not only was Callion prepping for the battle that was soon to come in his mind, but he also envisioned the consequences of failure, more villages and people hunted down and attacked by the sabre-toothed warrior; the worst-case scenario being nothing left of the Sabre's path. No one spared or safe from such a monstrous and barbaric assault of the most fault kind. This became more than just an ordinary mission to the Saiyan Monk, hell by all accounts this became very personal that burned to the core and with vast Kami’s’ across the universe as his witness, Callion refused to allow the sabre-toothed warrior harm, anyone, again.
If anything, this will actually be Callion’s very first mission that he has decided to choose for himself ever since arriving on this planet, far away from the remote planet of Lapen, away from her Holiness, the Ialad Amal’s decree and authority, the fire of battle slowly began to flicker at the back of Callion's mind, which in turn allowed the Saiyan to be assured and focused that he alone could save the lives of the innocent villages. The search was on, the journey to find such evidence to the Sabre-toothed warrior’s whereabouts was going to be easier than first anticipated. Clothes, crates, and bodies lined the ground, smoke rose from behind the first hill. Such a scene was unpleasing to the eye. The Saiyan’s eyebrows shot up dashing to the bodies on the ground and attempt to feel a pulse or any sign of life. Yet here was the first problem towards the first stage of this investigation… There is no pulse.
Callion growled quietly, closing the bodies eyes, allowing such people to rest in peace. He will have to inform the law enforcement of this planet in regards to this incident, now more than ever this monster had to be stopped or else more innocent people will die. The monk ran forward, reaching to the smoke that rose from beyond the hill, and upon reaching the top, he saw a small village in flames. His eyes widened, visions of the planet he was raised in a ‘what if’ scenario in flames, the friends and members of the Grand Temple on the floor, dead dying or worse. Callion searched the burning homes, sadly, having not found a single soul around or even alive. This was getting worse with every waking moment, and still not any solid proof of the sabre-toothed warrior’s whereabouts. The Saiyan found a boulder nearby and sat down on the large rock, taking the time to ponder and think for the next plan of action, though from the corner of his eye, on the floor, he spots a large footprint with a small tiger cloth having been ripped from a possible struggle. At last! A pinpoint of the sabretooth warrior’s location. He looked up and noticed a patch of forest just ahead of him which may be the villains home. The Saiyan marched into the forest, his eyes burning with determination entered the woodland grounds, more and more evidence of the sabretooth warrior appeared all around him. Claw like marks, footprints, and more tattered clothes were around him, the foul odour like smell was becoming more ominous. Judging by the display of the environment around Callion, the monk soon understood, it was clear this is where the people of the burning village have gone and unfortunately ended with their fate sealed in this forsaken, defiled forest. The Saiyan Monk began to walk closer, his eyes scanned the areas before him to which his surprise he caught a glimpse of a person standing in an open field on the other side, and by the looks of the silhouette of the bulking individual, it just had to be him. Now the plan of attack must be planned and a strategy to defeat him.
Callion, having learnt from experience that out classing the enemy in the terms of endurance and strength has come in handy with him body, winning without the use of force is sadly a rare the sign of succession, but as the monk got closer he saw that the sabre tooth warrior was just as muscular, if not larger than Callion! This was either going to be a battle of multiple paths, either by a painful ending to The Saiyan’s life, or a fight worthy of song and praise to which the poor souls who have lost their lives to this monster will be avenged. It was at this moment the Sabre-toothed warrior turned with a big grin at Callion, revealing his fangs and showing his fist.
“So, you are the one that’s been following me huh? HAH! Took you long enough worm! Sorry to say, you were too late to save them. What a pity.”
The Sabre-toothed warrior bellowed a laughter, looking at the Saiyan dead in the eyes. “Hah! You don’t seem strong to me punk, these villages and travellers didn’t even put much of a challenge. I would not worry though. I’ll make sure you get to have a one express ticket to the Otherworld. What do you think about that!?!” The hulking man entered into a fighting stance, hands at the ready to strike, his jaw opened releasing a mighty roar. Callion stood still, his eyes glancing at the hulking man before him, letting out a gentle sigh, as he to, entered into a fighting stance, his feet shoulder width apart, his arms rose up to defend his upper body, the two-warrior’s starring down each other. “I am only going to say this once...” The Saiyan Monk replied preparing to answer the Sabre-toothed warrior’s question, his eyes seeing quick flashbacks of the events that have transpired leading up to this point in time before replying back with these words: “I want you to give up while you still can. I do not wish to seek this confrontation, but you have killed innocent lives today. If you give up now, that will be the end of it. However, if you refuse... I will not hesitate to put you down like the animal that you are.”
The sabre-toothed warrior growled in defiance against Callion, who was in defiance against the sabre warrior's might, his temper grew revealing several veins appearing on the tip of his forehead. “Y-You… DARE! To say that to me!?! Who do you think you are!? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO I AM!!” The Sabre-toothed warrior screamed, stomping his foot repeatedly on the ground in such display of pure rage and in disgust which resulted in the enraged beast man to pound his chest repeatedly like an ape before charging towards Callion with full force. “I wish there was a peaceful solution to this, though it is clear to me that you even lack the simple desire to stop this fight before it gets out of hand. Very well, I suppose I will just have to end this fight quickly.” Callion spoke with calm, yet cold tone in his voice, also charging in retaliation towards the sabre-toothed warrior. The Battle begins Now! It's here, in the moment, at the thick of battle, the saiyan monk and the sabre-toothed warrior clashed blows against each other fists connected to each other, legs smashed into each other and with neither one backing down this battle was going to end with one result: only one will survive once the battle was over whether it was through death or completely out of stamina. It was clear that Callion refused to back down, getting close the sabre-toothed warrior’s face in a form of a headbutt. The two men began wrestle and pin each other. Such aura caused the ground to slightly rumble, their hands tightly gripped and both roared violently.
“Rrrragh!! Why don’t you just give up already!?! You know you have lost this!!” The Sabre-toothed warrior demanded, his eyes showing signs of hatred, managed to throw several punches at Callion with horrendous strength, knocking the saiyan monk back several feet and down onto the grassy floor, and hurling him towards a tree. “Gaak!!” Callion cried in pain, panting from the impact at the tree on his back. Callion winced from the pain slowly got back up on his feet. “I do not know the meaning of ‘give up.’ Even now, I still offer you the opportunity to back down and surrender. I suggest you take it before I have to apply extra force to my attacks.” Callion warned once more with a more serious tone in his voice, which worked with top efficiency, as it caused the enemy warrior to be greatly angered by such a claim went charging towards the saiyan monk like an infuriated monster. Callion just barely managed to muster the stamina to dodge out of harm’s way, allowing the sabre-toothed warrior to slam head first into the tree.
The Saiyan Monk began to throw a consecutive series of punches at the sabre-toothed warriors sides, aiming for the vital parts of the human body. “Your strength is impressive, but your defence is abysmal. You don't even have the speed to counteract against my attacks. Had you lived a different life, and had an actual teacher, you could've been someone great.” Callion retorted with a surprising criticism of the sabre-toothed warriors fighting style, pulling his left hand back charging up until the sabre-toothed warrior got back up on his feet, only to receive a charged punch directly at his cheek, causing the opponent to fly through several tall trees and slam straight into a boulder rock in the forest. Callion quietly panted whilst taking slow, deep, breaths, eventually collapsing onto his feet, panting and gasped for breath. The fighting with such a brute showed the saiyan could only continue to fight for so long. “Mmmnh, even I am no stranger to harm. Even I have to be careful when facing against him. I almost would've lost the fight, had I not been agile enough to evade most of his attacks.” Callion thought to himself, taking even slower, deeper breaths. His eyes wouldn’t look away from the downed opponent, slowly returning into his fighting stance, retaining his composure with sweat drippling down his brow and arms.
A monstrous roar emitted from the shadows of the forest where Callion viciously sent the primal beast hurling into. It was clear the Saiyan monk had the murderer’s attention, gritting his teeth preparing for the worst the fight had to offer. What came next, one could almost swear that the ground beneath was quivering in fear: “RRAAAAAGHHH!! I WILL NOT BE BEATEN BY A SOME FREAK WITH A MONKEY'S TAIL!! I REFUSE TO ALLOW IT!! I WILL ENJOY RIPPING YOU APART!” The sabre-toothed warrior began to charge on all fours, jumping high into the air and came crashing down, causing a crater underneath him. Callion, just barely managed to get hit by the attack sending the monk into the air, and knew while although only one more devastating attack was enough to severely injure the saiyan from such severe force, the altitude was perfect to perform a signature attack in the hopes to severely injure his opponent, or at the very least incapacitate him long enough to bring the murderer to the rightful authorities.
“Then you leave me no choice...” The saiyan monk coldly bellowed, as he came crashing down, using the falling speed to his advantage. With the impact of Callion's signature attack closing in for the kill, the Sabre-toothed warrior actually jumped up, roared as his hands began to swipe rapidly and viciously in the air blindly like a savage beast, eagerly wanting to devour it's prey. “Time to die!! You'll be my greatest meal yet!” As the tension reached the boiling point, Callion, using the opportunity at it's peak, began to unleash the fury of the fast kick’s initiating a constantly volley of kicks at the sabre tooth warrior’s chest and head until The Saiyan Monk threw the final kick directly at the opponent’s chin, performing a spinning wheel kick causing him to crash into the crater he made. Callion, at last, began to use the trees in the surrounding area to help land safely.
Callion eventually fell onto both his hands and knees, looking at the state of his opponent, with a mixture of justice, but also pity, having to resort to such violence. Clearly the monster was down and out, unable to respond. Finally, the fight was over, Callion saw this moment as a personal victory, he was victorious in the battle against the rampaging murderer, and avenged the fallen innocent people and villagers that were slain. “It’s over… Though you have fought well, I honestly wished that this could've ended differently. You could've had a bright future ahead of you... Instead, you went down the path of a coward, one that should be made an example... A pity. Though perhaps it is time to take you to the authorities and make sure you pay for your crimes.” Callion rubbed his neck with both hands, slowly got back up onto his feet, and was just about to reach out to carry the sabre-toothed warrior in the hopes to send him to East City for judgement, only to hear the ruffled sounds of the sabre tooth warrior moving.
“So… You survived from the fall and my signature attack. I will warn you now, if you keep on like this, I will not be held responsible for your death.” The sabre-toothed warrior growled in defiance of those words, using his upper front arms to slowly crawl his way out of the crater hole, his eyes glowed from underneath his leopard skin hood, his mouth drooled with saliva and foam, clearly in the state of being literal feral. “I guess you have lost yourself to the animal within you for losing. You have allowed your ego and pride to consume you... I see now that it will be dangerous to keep you alive. Forgive me for what I am about to do.” Callion remarked with a cold exterior look upon his face, no longer was he about to fight a rampaging bandit, but a monster. There was no glory in this, the saiyan monk felt pity for the downed opponent, seeing such a person de-evolve before his eyes.
“You…can’t…beat..me! I KILL you… I EAT…your flesh!!! Die…. Die! DIIIIIE!!!!”
How the mighty warrior had fallen, the sabre-toothed looking warrior crawled on his belly like a snake growling hissing violently at Callion with the intention for revenge, roaring in defiance in the face of defeat. “N-No! I… I can’t lose here! I refuse this battle and deny this shameful loss!” The opponent cried out in pain when Callion proceeded to attack a vital nerve point on the sabre-toothed arm, disabling the beast man left side arm. “AAAAAAARGH!! MY ARM! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY ARM!?!” The defeated primal warrior yelled in pain, whilst Callion glared menacingly at him, recognising what had to be done. "I pity you. Seeing someone who must fight even when you cannot win. It’s more a disgrace to see you crying like a child when you have committed such disgusting acts of violence." The Saiyan Monk spoke with a cold tone, removing his fist from the disabled arm holding his ground whilst looking down at the sabre-toothed warrior. Alas, his ears perked up, hearing the sound of movement in the forest.
He was not alone.
Only turning for just a moment, Callion saw the welcoming audience of real sabre-toothed cats approaching the fallen corpse. “No, I will not be the one to kill you here and now. Besides, I’ll leave the judgement up to your… ‘relatives’.” Callion so crudely hinted, motioning his finger in a circle motion a sign for the warrior to look behind him. As the saiyan monk finally took the opportunity to leave the scene, he was greeting with the screams and cries of the defeated monster being mauled and eaten alive by the wild saber-toothed cats, his fate was sealed and justice served in an ironic twist of fate. The screams and cries eventually died down signalling the end of the opponent’s life, it was high time for Callion to finally leave the defile forest lands and return to society with news of the barbarian's defeat.
As time passed, Callion managed to arrive at the East City police station undergoing talks with police officers regarding the incident informing law enforcement what had happened and detailing every description. “Hold on, let me get this straight here...” The humanoid dog Police chief asked, wiping the sweat from his brow whilst sipping a hot cup of coco. “So, you went to scene of the crime, this rampaging sabretooth looking freak show attacked and killed innocent villagers, destroyed their homes leaving the buildings in flames?” Callion simply responded with a firm nod. “Then you proceeded to hunt down the criminal and began to fight him one on one, and not only did you managed to beat him, but decided to allow the wildlife to kill him instead of keeping him alive and bring him here to be questioned…” Callion, once again simply gave a nod of his head once more.
“Oh, my goodness…” The Police chief responded, trying desperately hard to take such information in after hearing the saiyan monk's explanation to the entire ordeal. “Alright, whilst I appreciate what you have done for the safety and security of East City, we really could’ve kept the criminal alive and question him for his hideous crimes. On top of that, you have allowed the prime suspect die by the wildlife, which can make you a suspect of murder… Though you did remove a criminal, I will look the other way this time. Please, don’t make this a habit. You are free to go.” The Saiyan monk respectfully bowed his head to the Police Chief’s decision. “Thank you very much. I will take your advice to consideration.” Callion politely replied standing up away from his seat and walked to the door, but stopped and turned his head to face the police chief. “Let it be known that I offered that monster several chances to stand down and surrender. He refused. I simply allowed nature to take it's course the moment he became feral.” With that Callion left the East City Police Station, the humanoid dog Police Chief sighed, resting his head on the table mumbling under his breath.
“This boy is going to be trouble, isn’t he? That’s all I need, more paperwork.”
Callion made his way along the East City streets on his own, seeing the populace reaction to the news of the defeated Sabre-toothed warrior, noticing their face smiling with relief. It appears despite Callion’s questionable decision of allowing the wildlife animals to kill and eat the murderer. “Strange… When people hear the rumours of criminals locked away, the citizens feel as though they ‘know’ the murderers will eventually be released from prison. Yet when a criminal is dead, they are happy to hear and are actually relieved. I do not understand this. Or maybe people are hiding their true feelings… I will never understand these earthling humans.” Callion silently pondered to himself, his mind asking so many questions whilst leaving town and returning to the country side. The saiyan walked along the grass floor, sitting on a rock and entered into a mediation stance. “Could there have been a truly alternative solution? No matter the outcome, or the reversal, it was clear that the sabre-toothed warrior had zero desire for peace, having giving himself to the beast within. I, as a Saiyan, can somehow relate to him, in a way. Was I instinctively trying to offer him peace simply because of he was relatable to me? Still, what's done is done.” Callion's mind wondered, his body remained in a meditative pose, feeling the calm wind touch his skin, hair and saiyan tail. He was truly in a state of calmness, whilst also recollecting his thoughts on the matter. replaying the scenes leading up to the Sabre's demise.
The Saiyan Monk rolled off the boulder and rest on the grass floor, enjoying the quiet time and warm sunny breeze, taking a deep breath in, and exhaled through his mouth, the feeling of fresh air onto the lungs was always welcome. For now, all was well and peace maintained. Eventually, Callion clicked his neck and got back up on his feet, deciding to celebrate such a momentous occasion of triumph and victory: Training. “Alright, now that there are strong opponent’s in this world, it is time to focus all of my attention and efforts to training. I will not be able to sit idle any longer, and allow my opponents to out class me in strength, speed, and endurance.” The vigilant monk looked to the boulder and smirked, feeling the primal, saiyan, fiery spirit return to the him in a blaze of inner glory, he started to train on the giant boulder, using the basic training move sets to tone his arms and legs to peak efficiency. What really managed to set fire to Callion’s Saiyan soul was the next adventure of meeting a stronger, and worthier opponent.
